DESCRIPTION

Salt trading route and Rafting in the deepest gorge on the Earth

Manaslu, also known as Kutang or Mountain of the Spirits, is the eighth highest mountain in the world, at 8.163 metres above sea level. Very close to the border with Tibet, its valleys to the north and east were restricted until the early 1990’s, when the western man began to visit the region.

During 10 days, this trekking will allow us to follow an ancient salt-trading route along the Burhi Gandak River. We will live together with different ethnic groups very close to Tibet, we will arrive to the base camp of the Manaslu and we will enter a fantastic world of the Tibetan banners, prayer-walls and great mountains.
We combine this trekking experience with 3 days of Rafting in the Kali Gandaki River. The river source are the melting snows of Annapurnas; its whitewaters and intense rapids will make us feel strong emotions when we will descent the river on our rafts.
